Introducing the new collection

Paris Fashion Week

This season’s Tanins is inspired by the Paris Fashion Week.

Paris Fashion Week takes place February and March every year, and is a place where designers take their latest inspirations and creations to the show.

The model with bold makeups wears the Avant Garde style blue dress from a newly emerged designer, and an elegant yet strong perfume, just like this season’s Gewurztraminer – a structured velvet floral and mango fragrance, that is sweet and graceful.

Unlike new and bold designers, the legacy brands are more like the classy pinot noir

Pinot noir is a very delicate type of grape, requiring cool weather and close care by farmers, and is consider one of the best wines around the world.

This season’s pinot noir carries the fragrances of blackberry and cherries, with a deep ruby color. The tannins are soft and has an overall light body, giving a fresh and smooth taste.

The fragrances of red fruits and pinot noir’s signature cherry scent, accompanied by the silky tannins, giving this wine a young and easy-to-approach vibe. This wine is suitable for food pairing, as well as enjoying by itself in this comfortable spring weather.

This wine pairs very well with Asian roast duck, as the tannins and sour taste can remove the oily feel in the mouth. Even if the sauce is slightly sweet, this wine can compliment well also. Salad and other light dishes are also great with this wine.

Year: 2018

Recommended Temperature of Serving: 7-9˚C

Recommended Year of Consumption: 2022-2023

Taste Description:

Alsace France is one of the best regions for the Gewurztraminer grape to grow, a region with generous sunshine and low humidity.

This season’s white wine has a light golden color, and carries the aromas of violet flowers and mango. The flavors are smooth and balanced, with an aftertaste of floral fragrance. This is why even though it is a semi-sweet wine, but doesn’t overwhelm.

At first, floral fragrances emerge, follow by the aromas of exotic fruit, and finally a slight sour taste draws a sophisticated ending to the flavors.

Such sweet wine is best paired with spicy food, fish with heavier flavors like salmon or tuna, and seafood. This gewurztraminer is also perfect as an aperitif.

* This season’s Gewurztraminer is awarded Gold from the 2020 Concours International de Lyon

Recommended Food Pairing: Spicy dishes, strong cheeses such as Munster, Chinese cuisine
